To prepare the Syrup: Place the listed components into a pot, bring to a simmer, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Then, turn off the stove allowing it to cool down entirely. Transfer to a sealable bottle, cap it and refrigerate it in the fridge, it can be stored for about a month.
For the Cocktail Base: Pour the specified spirits and syrup in a sizeable container, let it rest for an hour, then filter it , ideally through cheesecloth, so it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Measure 85ml from the premix to a mixing glass filled with ice, and agitate lightly for one minute to chill. Pour to a chilled martini glass or equivalent, decorate with a few cranberries and complete it using a quick spritz of the essential oil above the glass.
